Apply for the sustainability summer short course

There are three packages available on the sustainability summer short course, each offering a different level of involvement from joining the lectures for general interest through to a certified completion of the course.

Package 1

Certified completion of the course, with five St Andrews credits

This gives you:

  • full access to the lectures and Q&A sessions
  • attendance at the small-group discussion following each lecture

You will be asked to submit coursework following the sessions.

On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion and five St Andrews credits at Masters level (these credits will not be able to be used as part of other St Andrews degree programmes).

Recordings of the lectures and discussion groups will be available to you if you cannot attend the live event.

Fees

£500 (scholarships available for Scottish applicants)

To be eligible to apply for this programme, you must be educated to Honours degree level (or equivalent) and, if your degree was not taught in English, meet the English language requirements.

Package 2

Certified completion of the course

This gives you:

  • full access to the lectures and Q&A sessions.

On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion.

Recordings of the lectures will be available to you shortly after the live event.

Fees

£250

To be eligible to apply for this programme, you must be educated to Honours degree level (or equivalent) and, if your degree was not taught in English, meet the English language requirements.

Application deadline: 12 noon, 23 June 2021

Package 3

Watch access

This gives you:

  • access to watch the lectures.

Recordings of the lectures will be available to you shortly after the live event.

Fees

£50

This package is available to everyone.

Funding for Scottish applicants

There is funding available for the full credit-bearing package (package 1) through Scottish Government scholarships aimed at upskilling Scotland for the future.

To take advantage of this scholarship, you must be:

  • resident in Scotland and (one of the following must apply)
    • be a UK citizen
    • if you are an EU citizen you must have settled or pre-settled status
    • if you are from another country, you must have a residency permit
  • over 25 years of age
  • not a University of St Andrews student or member of staff.

Scholarships are limited, and they will be allocated by application date. Early application is advised.
