Viglen computers
IT Services has recently negotiated special pricing with Viglen Computers. In particular two models are offered at special prices to this University.
Contender ATX system: this has a Pentium P120 processor, 16 MB memory, 1.2 GB disk, 8-speed CD-drive, 256 KB pipeline cache, ethernet card, 16-bit sound card, 14" colour monitor, Windows 95 and Microsoft Works. This is priced at £779 + VAT which includes delivery and one year on-site warranty.
The second system is a Genie ATX which has the same configuration as above but with a Pentium P166 processor, enhanced graphics card, 32-bit sound with speakers and microphone, 15" monitor. This is priced at £1120 + VAT including delivery and one year on-site warranty.
The full range of Viglen products is also available at a 4% discount on the standard university prices (which are already discounted). The University is also eligible for a 4% discount on any special offers which Viglen makes in the national press.
