How will you be taught?
This programme offers four days of tutorials in Singapore, which will replace the online tutorials. These in-person tutorials will be held in mid-October and mid-March, and will provide students with an opportunity to meet lecturers and fellow students face to face. This in-person teaching will allow students to discuss the content of online lectures taken throughout the year. Students will have the opportunity to connect with academic staff and peers through classroom interaction and discussions.
These in-person tutorials will provide an opportunity to discuss the issues that may be relevant for participants from South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia. This could include the rise of the Islamic State in parts of the region, insurgencies and civil wars affecting various states, or manifestations of religious violence beyond Islamism. Additionally, responses to terrorism including those by the international community will be discussed. The tutorials are based on demand, with topics of discussion including nexus issues such as the interface between organised crime and terrorism.
