Direct entry to second year Computer Science MSci (Hons) 2021 entry

It is possible for students applying for the Computer Science MSci single Integrated Masters degree to enter directly into the second year of study, meaning you will complete your degree in only four years instead of five.

This option is offered to students with excellent Advanced Higher, A-Level or International Baccalaureate qualifications.

Students who enter directly into second year will take modules required by the Computer Science MSci programme from the second year on, with the exception that they will take an accelerated version of the Foundations of Computation module. It includes necessary background material from core first-year modules, as well as the same content as the Foundations of Computation module.

Direct entry students will have the opportunity to study abroad during their second year of study.

To find out more information, or to discuss the possibility of direct entry to second year, please contact the School of Computer Science or email admissions@st-andrews.ac.uk.
